What grade levels does The Forge serve?

The Forge is now enrolling grades 9–11. Grades 9–12 the following year.

How much is tuition?

Full-year tuition is $15,000. If this amount is outside your budget, please reach out – we may be able to help.

Where are you located and what are the hours?

Location: 4683 Columbia Pike, Thompson's Station, TN 37179

In-person sessions: 8 AM to 1 PM, Tuesday through Thursday.

How does admissions work?

Common questions

What if we're out of town outside of the break times?

We believe in family time first! A few things your student can always take on the go: the current book and his parent-generated curriculum. We highly encourage time away to be spent really digging into the readings and parent-generated curriculum together to support him.

We're flexible with missed projects. Some may be particularly fun or intensive, so we'll work with families individually to make up the concepts and projects the student is extra passionate about.

Will the students be prepared for college?

First things first: we are not a prep school, and if college is the number-one priority, there are schools that share that same priority. This school prioritizes preparing students to function in the real world.

That said, it is still a very strong option for students to go to college after The Forge. Students graduate with a diploma from their respective tutorial, and we keep all the records colleges will want to see. On top of being more than adequately prepared academically, they graduate with a long list of extracurriculars and experience. SAT/ACT testing is available to students as well, of course!

What is the technology policy?

Technology has done some very significant damage to high-school students and high schools in general, so we limit it where it doesn't need to be — no texting or scrolling on phones during instruction and learning. We have your contact information for emergencies, and you have ours.

There's also a great deal of technology understanding that needs to be had. We believe in teaching our students the power and usefulness of technology in its proper place. Students will have clear times and instruction on how we use technology to support their education. To be clear, we are a technology-forward school, not a technology-limited one.
